Directions

 Metro
Take Green Line to Anacostia. When exiting the metro turn right onto Howard Road, in the direction of the school and church. Make a left at the light onto Martin Luther King Jr SE. Walk past Talbert Street, Morris Road, Chicago Street, Mapleview, Pleasant Street, W Street, Anacostia’s Big Chair, V Street and U Street.  Shortly after U Street SE, you’ll see 1922 on your right. The walk is about 7-10 minutes.

Bus
From Adams Morgan, U Street NW, H Street NE and Eastern Market - take the 90 or 92 to Anacostia. For the 90 bus, you have to pull the bus bell right after the 11 Street Bridge at U Street SE and MLK Jr Ave SE. Blank Space SE is directly across the street. The 92 bus also stops at MLK Jr SE and Good Hope Road a block away. Please check metro for more updates. 
 
From Downtown, D.C.
Take 395 North Follow it north and merge right onto Martin Luther King Ave. Follow Martin Luther King Straight into downtown Anacostia (do not right merge onto 295.) 1922 MLK Jr Ave is a half block after the intersection of MLK Jr Ave and Good Hope Road. 
 
From Virginia
Take 495/95 North over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Exit after the bridge onto 295 North Follow 295 about 6 miles Exit onto Pennsylvania Ave. East. Take a right onto Minnesota Ave. Follow Minnesota until it dead ends into Good Hope Rd. Take a right onto Good Hope Rd. until you hit Martin Luther King Ave. Take a left on Martin Luther King, go a half block to 1922. 
 
From Maryland
Take the BW Parkway South Follow the split at the end of the Parkway towards 295 South Stay on 295 South for approximately 5 miles Exit onto Pennsylvania Ave. East Take a right onto Minnesota Ave. Follow Minnesota until it dead ends into Good Hope Rd. Take a right onto Good Hope Rd. until you hit Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE. Take a left on Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, go a half block to 1922.

Sing the Truth

Three great women of contemporary song -- Angelique Kidjo, Dianne Reeves, and Lizz Wright -- pay tribute to three recently departed legends: Miriam Makeba, Abbey Lincoln, and Odetta. In Sing the Truth, three great women of contemporary song -- multi-lingual singer-songwriter Angelique Kidjo, Grammy-winning jazz legend Dianne Reeves, and gospel-inspired diva Lizz Wright -- pay tribute to three recently departed legends: Miriam Makeba, Abbey Lincoln, and Odetta. This soulful concert event will include numbers made famous by that trio of greats as well as original songs and titles by other great women in music, ranging from Billie Holiday to Lauryn Hill. The all-star ensemble backing up this trio will include pianist Geri Allen, drummer Terri Lyne Carrington, bassist James Genus, and guitarist Romero Lubambo.
